About us

Cullercoats Community Centre is a friendly and welcoming purpose-built building in the heart of the old fishing village of Cullercoats. We opened in 1984 and have been busy catering for the varying needs of the local community ever since.

We have a large range of regular classes and activities available at very reasonable prices and are always willing to try something new.

We are a Registered Charity and the Centre is overseen by a Management Committee of dedicated local volunteers who have recently employed a p/t Centre Manager to help take the Centre forward, secure funding needed for long overdue renovation and provide more activities.

Our regular schedule of weekly activities includes a Wednesday Coffee Morning, two Cullertots play groups (Monday & Friday mornings), a Fortnightly Twins Club, Knit & Knatter, 3 Zumba sessions and various other Fitness & Dance Groups. Our rooms are available to hire for one-off events or regular spots around the existing schedule of activities

We also host a Table Top Sale on the first Saturday of every month, 10am to 1pm, with delicious home made cakes, scones and pie slices available from our kitchen plus tea and coffee.

Upcoming Table Top Sales will be held on: Sat 2nd July, Sat 6th August, Sat 3rd Sept, Sat 1st Oct, Sat 5th Nov & Sat 3rd Dec. Cost £5 per table (MUST be booked in advance), Entrance 30p to buyers. Sellers set up 9am, open to Public 10am onwards
